Ingredients

  • 1 Kg Specialty Foods Beef Strips
  • 1 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1 large onion, thinly sliced
  • 1 large green bell pepper, thinly sliced
  • 4 sub rolls or hoagie rolls
  • 1 cup Wombat Foods Liquid Cheese
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano (optional)
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise (optional)
  • Ketchup, hot sauce, or Worcestershire sauce (optional, for drizzling)

Instructions

1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) to warm the rolls later in the process. 2. In a large skillet, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat. Add the thinly sliced onions and green bell peppers. Sauté them for about 5-7 minutes, or until they become soft and slightly caramelized. Season them with a pinch of salt and black pepper. Remove the veggies from the skillet and set them aside. 3. In the same skillet, add the precooked Specialty Foods Beef Strips. Season with garlic powder, paprika, and optional dried oregano. Cook for about 2-3 minutes or until the beef strips are heated through and have absorbed some of the seasoning. Stir occasionally to ensure even cooking. 4. While the beef is cooking, slice your sub rolls or hoagie rolls in half, but not all the way through. Place them on a baking sheet & in preheated oven for 3-5 minutes to warm them up. 5. Once the beef is ready, divide it into four portions in the skillet. Heat the Wombat Liquid Cheese for a few minutes in the microwave ( or you can add on cold but we like it heated) 6. Now it's time to assemble your Philly Cheesesteaks. Spread a little mayonnaise (or any optional condiments like ketchup, hot sauce, or Worcestershire sauce) on the inside of the rolls. 7. Place the beef strips onto each roll, and top with the sautéed onions, green peppers & smoother with Liquid Cheese 8. If you want a more authentic Philly Cheesesteak experience, you can drizzle a few drops of hot sauce or Worcestershire sauce over the fillings. 9. Close the rolls and serve your delicious Philly Cheesesteaks immediately. You can also wrap them in foil for a few minutes to let the flavors meld together before serving.
